Thurs. 2/17

11:25am CST - Choppy crude but recovered most of early loss on final trade exiting on morning high tick (that never happens to me). ZS paid on long side and made the day. Happy to finally break out of a 6-month drawdown today exceeding last year's August equity high by a smidgen. Hopefully onward and upward from here. Currently up 10.8% YTD. :)

Net breakdown (contracts traded):
ZS $1948(10), CL -$98(4)

  1. Your a much better trader than me to be able to make money in that mess.

  2. Keep on fighting the fight. And replace that "hopefully" word with some variety of "believe". Belief is why we pull the trigger, even if the last trigger pull resulted in a powder burn or a little kickback. Believe and achieve, or doubt and die.

  3. Thanks all.
Michael, I lost money in the chart mess I posted!

  4. No MBA, I'm not a psychologist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last month. Seriously though, I've analyzed my own head many times, and continue to do so daily, as I continue the trading journey and work to unravel the mysteries of my own thinking. Trading actually has little to do with discerning entry and exit points. Any 5th grader can handle that. I have a Ph.D in "me". What I talk about are the things I experience myself, and I'm probably a pretty typical case.
