  1. Hi MBA been following u for a bit and really impressed by your patience and tenacity. I trade Cl and have had great success in a sim account. In your experience what got u through the hump of going from sim to real money and what sort of account size would u recommend starting with at minimum. Thanks again for the blog you have a great attitude toward trading

  2. Hi MBA, stumbled across your blog a couple days ago and have really enjoyed going through it. Im new to the world of trading and have really been struck by your honesty and also how you view your mistakes and success's. I've been inspired to start my own blog and look forward to seeing how the second half of the year plays out for you. Enjoy the airshow . . .

  3. CC, thanks. First, I have never spent anytime simming to "practice making money." I've always been more a fan of backtesting and then trading small with real money until you are comfortable. But that's just me... You should not be trading with money you may need in the next 5 years in my opinion. So if that's 5k or 100k, you can vary your contract size to keep your risk in check (less than 1 or 2% of account size max. per trade). Good luck!

Chaos, thanks - I'll check out your blog.

  4. Thanks MBA - And keep plugging on the CL - great instrument when it is trading well if the system has an edge of course - I trade smaller swings 20 - 30 cents on CL with 10 cent stop and then trailing stops right before and after open - most days catch good move in breakout fashion -

Your Soybean system seems like a beauty - Maybe step up size on that more and scale back the CL - Just a thought
