A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.
It'll come. If it makes you slam your fist on the desk so hard you have to check to make sure you didn't break a bone, it'll come.
ReplyDeleteI can feel your pain. Take a break and rest well.
ReplyDeleteI feel lost as well, my last 2 days I've had 22 trades with -71% expectancy, so there are others going through what you are. My problems are the usual--not following rules, taking every signal regardless of context, jumping around from strategy to strategy, using real money before proving my skill on demo...
ReplyDeleteToday was a bad day for any discretionary or system trading plan that had an inkling of a long bias- not a good day for me as well.
ReplyDeleteThen we have the insult to injury of seeing what could have been with beautiful trade set ups on the short side.
Oh well, on the bright side, more valuable insight can be learned from mistakes that leads to being more profitable going forward.
YM, I never get THAT mad! I prefer to yell. haha
ReplyDeleteThanks for comments all.
