A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.

I agree about the non-exclusion of either one. It is frustrating when it almost seems like the market adapts to your strategy before you go live with it. Wish I could say more but as you know, if it's all worth it in the end to you you've got to go after it with the one life you have to live.
ReplyDeleteYou almost got to the point where recovering your account is impossible, trading futures with less than $25K is not a good ideea
ReplyDeleteThanks for comments. Rhiese, I only get one life? Now you tell me!
ReplyDeletePaul Paul, agree that being well capitalized is a big help. Fortunately I've been in "preservation" mode for awhile now and if/when I turn things around, I am able to add more funds if needed.
