  1. Did you follow your system rules today, or were you winging it?

  2. Hi MBA,
I have been following your blog for 3 years. I must salute you for your persistence and never give up attitude. For the last 5 years I learn trading especially day trading:

Cannot trade every day. Every day is not the same. Identifiy with fundamental, regular basis even and upcoming news. I have tools to identify that days. And my trade result have never been better.

    Hope it helps

  3. Sometimes you need to realize that maybe trading is not for you.

  4. That is a bit harsh, Anon.

MBA's 2010, 2011 and 2012 equity show he is breakeven over that time period, if I read them correctly.

Considering most people blow out in the first 2 years, I'd say he is doing better than most. Some subtle (not radical) adjustments may dramatically improve his results.

  5. I once heard a successful full time day trader telling me that it takes him 10 years to set up his trading system to trade well.

Another ex floor trader who is now also doing day trading tells me that it takes him 20 years to master trading. The attitude of all these traders are the same: Never Give Up!

Trading is difficult nowadays but if you believe in ourselves, we shall become successful=)

  7. There is only one way to successfully trade and one way only: follow along in harmony with price.

Trying to time turns, fading direction and avoiding loss by flailed attempts to average against are all 100% failure modes over time. No exceptions, ever.

Friday's CL session was all about selling into strategic breaks. No buy signals could possibly exist in a winning approach. Any approach that did not issue one to several profitable sell signals on Friday needs to be discarded in full, banished from mind and never considered again.

Whatever failed to confirm valid sell signals in CL on Friday is a less-than-worthless concept. That's not being harsh or judgemental or emotional at all: it is merely a logical, engineer-type valid conclusion :)
