A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.

Saw the ZS today I can only bet u may have a hard time. Me too have a hard time. Not taking 40cents CL punish me to almost death. I give u CL setup, very crazy winning ratio at 20 cents. Good enough to recover your bruises.
ReplyDeleteA lot of "experts" (in quotation marks because there are no experts in this business. There are only people with more experience than you or me) will say that we must adapt to the market. I'm not so sure. If your plan is based on S&R levels, which are always changing, then it may be all you need is a few small tweaks. It seems a lot of your trades end up not working for the smallest amounts of point movement...for example 1 tick today. Hmmm?
ReplyDeleteYM, systems work for awhile and then they don't (or slowly lose edge) when the market changes. Unfortunately my ZS system's edge is so slight, it does only take a tick or 2 many days to have a winning versus losing day. No easy solution to improve that so I continue to trade and monitor it and work on developing other systems. You miss 100% of the shots you never take!
