A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.

Opinions about sim accounts are all over the board. I'm not a fan myself because I know me. I've spent thousands of hours to know and understand the subject of "me". "Sim me" and "live me" aren't the same person. My local grocery store has refused to accept sim money for payment as well. Sim is fine for learning how an order entry platform works but not so good for learning how to trade, in my most humble opinion. Congratulations on your $18,000 day. That and $3.30 of real money gets you a medium caffe mocha at Barnes & Noble.
