A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.
Congrats MBA, but you made me think x factor is not the trader, but the market .:-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, what chart service you use ; OEC ?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteWhat source of continuous contract data do you use for CL? Do you backtest in OEC's platform or other?
Thanks in advance,
Ken
former Eng w/mba too....
Thanks TST - no congrats yet - it's only been a couple days! And yes, I use OEC to chart/trade but also have eSignal too.
ReplyDeleteHi Ken, good to hear from another Eng w/MBA who trades! Hope you're more successful at this than me! I use eSignal data/charts to backtest. OEC just doesn't have enough data. eSignal has 1 min. data all the way back to March '07. They have a continuous contract (ie. CL #F or ES #F, etc.) that I chart. I wish they had intraday/tick data back years but their servers only provide a ~month's worth for most symbols.
