A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.
I spent 13 years trapped in that same movie. Hard one to get out of, but can be done.

DeleteThanks for that reply Michael.
DeleteYou've said "trading is a lot more fun now, and way less stressful" but the question on my mind - and probably anyone else reading this comments section - is....is it more profitable? Have you been able to make consistent gains over a period measured in quarters rather than days/weeks/months?

DeleteGlad to hear Michael! :)
DeleteMichael, I think your ideas - to work on the mental aspect, to look at context to more accurately assess good entry spots and, when necessary, to be comfortable sitting out to ensure only the best entries spots are taken - are sound and I'm glad to hear it can (eventually) be profitable.
