I'm trading a new strategy that is mostly mechanical but not entirely. It's pretty simple really, doesn't use volume profile or anything like that and will certainly have losers like any method. I'm trading NQ for now and the goal is to make $100+ most days. Part of the plan includes a "time out." If I have a negative week, the following week (or as many weeks as it takes), I trade only sim until I have a positive week there, then I can return to live trading the next week. This blog will continue to post only live trades. I started on sim last week and was positive, so this week is live trading and today was a good day to be long. I'm not worried about how much I left on the table or anything like that as it doesn't matter. The journey continues...

Good to see you back, Good Luck!!
ReplyDeletehi, do you trade full time? or do you have a regular day job?
ReplyDeleteIn my 15 years in this business (trading, brokerage) I havent found anyone that actually makes a living doing this trading from home.
ReplyDeleteThats why most fail and then start selling "educational material" and live trading rooms...
This blog is exception as its the reality of trading from home.
No 90% winners, no $500 a day scalping 1 contract ES all day BS like most claim.
Everyone should be thankful for mbagearhead for being honest.
If anyone decides to "try" daytrading from home pipe dream, they better have good other source of income or are very rich.
Anon, i am trading from home. I am aware of the stats, 5% success rate etc. It's a dog's life but hope i get this going.
ReplyDeleteMBA, nice to see you back. You inspired my blog. Hope you get some edge this time.
Thanks all. Shzhning, I do not have a regular job and trade full time (mostly).
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back mba, good luck!
