For the Love of Money

A good read from the New York Times a couple weeks ago...

"IN my last year on Wall Street my bonus was $3.6 million — and I was angry because it wasn’t big enough. I was 30 years old, had no children to raise, no debts to pay, no philanthropic goal in mind. I wanted more money for exactly the same reason an alcoholic needs another drink: I was addicted...."

  1. He gave up his material possessions for enlightenment but he doesn't have to. My aunt knows a guy who scalps some stocks in the morning for 200 bucks then he stops, go to temple and does his daily chores. So he fulfills his desires of living in both worlds, no conflicts.

  2. money never changes anyone, it really just brings out the person's true nature.
