A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.
Finding a consistent, functional edge in the ES is really, really, really hard to do. While I wish you success, the prudent bet would be to bet against you. The ES is *hard* and has the best minds on it, and you have to do everything right.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I want to pick the mind of a guy like Austin P or Don Miller to see how often over the past few years they've had to change their game up.
Not to muddy the waters here (I'll just post and go away), here's what Linda Raschke said once,"I have never been tempted to change my style because I feel that my patterns and strategies don’t change. The market is very basic; you buy pullbacks in a trending issue, you buy divergences, or you buy breakouts
ReplyDeletefrom congestion areas. Likewise on the sell side. These things don’t change over time"….Linda Raschke (in regard to anonymous's comment)
haha, Linda Raschke. I was in her group before.
ReplyDeleteI was very active in their chat room. Later I decided to leave since I pretty much know the stuff they talked about. But it was a good experience.
I agree 100% YM - thanks for LR quote. And no need to go away. Pull up a chair, stay awhile...
