A daily chronicle of results of one retail futures trader trading my own accounts. I define myself as a day trader and generally swing for at least a few points most of the time. But I do make the occasional scalp for ticks too.

Afternoon Chop
3:10pm CDT - Couldn't get anything going today and bounced back and forth from positive to negative.
We all could have cleaned up in the afternoon trading the chop range, shorting at 885 and buying at 882 but I only know that now that the day is done! Ahh, hindsight!
MBA, shoot me an email if you wanna go over one of your morning trades because I found the morning to be pretty clear cut and relatively easy to trade. And please don't take this as me being a pro/guru or whatever; sometimes its just helpful to get a different perspective on the same picture.
Avg$Win > Avg$Loss! Now that's what I like to see :D
ReplyDeleteClosing out with a profit in this chop is an accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteAfternoon was chop, but the morning offered some great setups good for at least 3-5 pts per trade.
ReplyDeleteMy morning setups mostly got stopped...
